The Resident Association of Greater Englewood’s Economic Upliftment Program (Re-Up) focuses on business ownership, job creation, real estate development, and home ownership in the Englewood Chicago community.

 

An initiative to build and strengthen the economic and social fabric of the Chicago Englewood community

Goals

  • Closing the wealth gap for Englewood residents 

  • Reducing retail leakage - $194M per year – 69 cents of every dollar leaves the community 

  • Going beyond 7% - Black-owned businesses in Englewood that are non-faith based/non-social service based 

  • Create 500+ jobs for Englewood residents in 5 years 

  • Create the first Black-owned business directory & business growth tool kit for Englewood 

  • Serve as a Catalyst for economic philanthropy investment in Englewood
